Before coming into the Methodist Church, Richard served as Associate Pastor of Children’s and Family Ministries at Fishermen’s House Church (1998-2003) in Tulsa, and in evangelism ministries at Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro (1993-1995). He has a passion for children and youth ministries, missions and evangelism, and a love for rural churches.
Richard has a degree in Early Childhood Development from Alamance Community College, a Bachelors in Technical Writing from North Carolina A&T, a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, and recently earned his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership with an emphasis on community development.
