The Youth ministry of Bellemont Methodist Church remains strong and active within our Church, whether it’s participating in fundraisers or serving in our weekly worship service as ushers, reading scripture or computer/sound operators. The ministry has recently gained a new Youth Director in Eddie Bordeaux, a long-time member of Bellemont Methodist Church!
We have recently returned from our Summer Mission Trip in Copperhill, Tn., where the team professed God’s love through service to a family in need. During our down-time, the team enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, paintball, rafting and fellowship.
Regular Youth Group meetings will be held on Sundays at 4PM beginning September 10th, 2023. All are welcome, if your teen/pre-teen is not currently involved with a Youth Group, then we would love it if they joined us for fun, fellowship and sharing of God’s Word.
Welcome to the online home of Bellemont Methodist Church, we are glad that you are here!

Hi! I’m Haley!. Anyone that knows me knows that I love animals and being outside! I have 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and 6 fish tanks full of all kinds of watery-type animals. When I’m not with the kids or tending to my mini zoo, I’m out working at the farmer’s market! I have been working with the Excel Program for 5 years (2 as Director and 3 as teacher) and have worked in childcare for over 10 years.
Joe started with Bellemont’s custodial team in July of 2023. He is originally from the great state of Rhode Island, and previously served on the custodial team at Front Street UMC in Burlington. After the retirement of Herman Quick, Joe took over as sole custodian for all of Bellemont’s Facilities. Joe is a delightful person with an exuberant personality. He is as friendly as they come and brightens our days. If you see him around the building, stop and say, “Hello.”
I’m the Children’s Pastor here at Bellemont, and I absolutely love what I do!. I’ve been part of Bellemont since I was a little girl, so this church truly feels like home. I’m married to my husband Brian, and we have two wonderful kids, Alex and Sydney. I also have the sweetest grandson, Eli, who has completely stolen my heart!
Dr. Richard D. Booker and his wife, Jennifer are natives of Greensboro, NC. They now live in Burlington with their 5 daughters (3 biological and 2 adopted), Kaleigh, Kemberling, Regan, Luna, and Alexa. They love spending time together as a family.
Richard began as Lead Pastor of Bellemont in January of 2024. He previously served as Pastor of Zion Methodist, GMC (2016-2023), Rock Creek UMC (2011 to 2016), and as Children’s Minister at Bellemont (2005-2011). Before coming into the Methodist Church, Richard served as Associate Pastor of Children’s and Family Ministries at Fishermen’s House Church (1998-2003) in Tulsa, and in evangelism ministries at Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro (1993-1995). He has a passion for children and youth ministries, missions and evangelism, and a love for rural churches.
Richard has a degree in Early Childhood Development from Alamance Community College, a Bachelors in Technical Writing from North Carolina A&T, a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, and recently earned his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership with an emphasis on community development. He is fellow of the Thriving Rural Communities program at Duke and is committed to revitalizing the rural churches of North Carolina.
Richard is an avid movie buff and a huge fan of classic cartoons. His passions also include history, writing, music, hiking, and spending time with family. His favorite catch phrase is Carpe Diem (seize the day), right after Carpe Pizza (dude…let’s get some pizza)!.
